A new generation of water purifying devices has emerged.
The water purification system from the South Korean company Novita Water Purifier, which is powered by its own lithium-ion battery, will be launched in India later this year.
The device is capable of producing as much as 1.3 liters of water in a single day.
Novita says the technology can also be used to cool water in homes.
The Novita water filter, which has a water purging feature, is available for sale on the Indian market, which the company says is more competitive than the US and Europe.
Novita says it has received more than $1 billion worth of orders for the water purificators.
The company has said that in its last quarter, the number of orders increased by 5% year-on-year.
